Do you live in Love or do you live in Lack? At the beginning of my meditation journey, I was asked this exact question. I was living in lack and it was showing up everywhere. All it took was a simple mindset shift to transform my mindset and my life.
My next question to you is, “Are you living in Love or Lack?”
To easily answer this question first, think of a scale with Love at the top and Fear at the bottom. Now do the same with Abundance at the top and Lack at the bottom. In every situation, you are going to fall somewhere on these two scales.
The answer is to always strive to be closer to the Love and Abundance side. But how?
You are going to do this by using the Abraham Hicks Emotional Guidance Scale. At any moment of any day, you are going to be at some point on that scale. Check it out now and see where you land. Then you want to simply move up the scale, one by one. Strive to be in the next emotion higher on the scale. Ask yourself, “What do I need to do right now to feel <insert next emotion here>?” It is always in your best interest to land on the higher side of the scale. The higher you are, the higher your vibe, the better you will feel, and the more positive you will attract in your life.
Whenever faced with a situation there are often two scenarios to go up or down the scale. One is going to be more aligned with Love and Abundance and the other is going to be aligned with Fear and Lack.
The easiest way to shift your mood is to do something you love, express gratitude, or even do something nice for others.
I have a very personal story to share about how this practice worked for me. This may appear to be an extreme example but it is where I learned this lesson. We were just weeks out from my Mother’s passing. We didn’t know how soon, but her health was declining rapidly. When I started this practice, it was tied to a 5-day meditation challenge. The facilitators asked, “What is the thing you fear most in this world?” For me, it was losing my Mom to death. Through the meditation practice, I realized I was not going to lose my Mom, but gain her in a new form. Yes, there would be an absence of body and physical connection but it would be replaced by a presence of her ever-present spirit. I felt immediate relief and love surrounding me when I had this epiphany. I knew I had to believe, I had to trust in Love.
Three weeks later, my mother passed on. I truly believe she was waiting for me to learn this lesson. She wanted to know I would be okay and I have felt her love ever since. From the moment she passed when warm tingles went up and down my spine to any given moment now when I receive immediate signs whenever I am missing her.
That is when I learned that you need to trust in Faith and Love to pull you through every situation. I surrendered my fear and gained a new perspective and mindset that changed my life immediately.
