News Feed FYI: Taking into Account Live Video When Ranking Feed
Facebook is changing their news feed algorithm again. View Facebook Live video as its own content type.
“Facebook Live videos are more likely to appear higher in News Feed when those videos are actually live, compared to after they are no longer live.
People spend more than 3x more time watching a Facebook Live video on average compared to a video that’s no longer live. This is because Facebook Live videos are more interesting in the moment than after the fact.”

- Turn on messaging when you’re ready

Mari Smith: New Feature on Facebook Mobile App
“Facebook Page Admins that use the Pages Manager App: do you see a setting to “Share Link to Message Page”?! Aha!! I do believe this is new and it is connected to the Messenger URL short link that I mentioned recently. The URL syntax is fb.com/msg/marismith (replace my username with yours). The short link is designed to instantly open a chat thread with a business. However, the link stopped working after a couple days. Likely, the kinks are being worked out. Hmm!!”
